TOURIST ATTRACTION TEMPLE 'PRAMBANAN'
Rara Temple Prambanan or Jonggrangis the largest Hindutemple complex in Indonesia , which was built in the 9th century AD. This temple is dedicated to Trimurti, the threemain Hindu godsare Brahma thecreator god, the god Vishnu as the preserver, and Shivathe god of destruction. Based on the inscriptionSiwagrha original name of this temple complex is Siwagrha (Sanskrit which means 'house of Shiva'), and indeed in garbagriha(main hall) of the temple is the statue ofShiva Mahadeva dwellsas high as three meterswhich showed thatLord Shiva in this temple are preferred.
This temple is including the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia , and one of the most beautiful templesin Southeast Asia . The architectureof the building is tall and slendershaped according to the Hindu architecture in general the main Shiva templeas the temple hasreached a height of 47 meters in thecenter of the complex cluster of towering temples smaller. As one of the grandest temples in Southeast Asia , Prambanan temple is the main attraction of tourists visit from all over the world.
Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia . To date could not be ascertained when the temple was built and who ordered, butthe strong suspicion that the temple was built around the middle of the 9th century by the king of the Sanjaya dynasty, a king Balitung Maha Sambu. The assumption is based on the content found Syiwagrha inscription aroundPrambanan and is now kept in the National Museum in Jakarta . Inscription dated 778 Saka (856 M) was writtenduring the reign of Rakai Pikatan.
